Martha Lindsell, founder of the Thinking Rider practice (www.marthalindsell.com/www.artoffeel.co.uk), is a qualified British Horse Society assistant instructor who, since 1999, has developed a natural horsemanship approach, originally with Australian trainer Ken Faulkner. She has an MA in Applied Drama in the Prison and Probation Services and spent 7 years as a drama facilitator in prisons, youth theatre and other social settings. Martha is also in training as a sociometrist and sociodramatist as part of her professional development in using action methods to explore change. She competed in show jumping and dressage as part of the UK and Durham university teams. She also show-jumped competitively in France, Texas and Indonesia, and competed in dressage in Indonesia. She has also played competitive horseball in the UK.
Lavinia Lubbock
Lavinia Lubbock is a senior accredited and registered psychotherapist with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Accreditation and registration are professional benchmarks of training and practice. Lavinia has completed infant and young child observations, studying how ordinary human development takes place in the first years of life. She has practiced in several different settings in Yorkshire as a qualified therapist since 1999, working with adults and young adults. She has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA, Bradford 1984) and has held several management roles. She has a continuing interest in how organisations work, using the Tavistock approach to organisational consultancy.
